What is the solution for a troubled heart? For the disciples (and for us today), Jesus exhorted them to believe in Him as God. He followed his exhortation in John 14:1 with an explanation of the future glory His disciples would have in Him. He promised a physical home with God, and at the center of that home, was Christ’s very presence. Jesus himself is our home. This is why we can find comfort in the midst of troubling times: He is with us. Not only is Jesus our home; He is also our only way home. Christ makes the exclusive claim that He, alone, is the way and the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. This is our certain hope, which brings joy to those who believe. We have the privilege walking with our Savior in any circumstance and the responsibility to live an inviting life to call others to believe in Him as well. | John 14:1-6
