Who We Are

Tomball Bible Church exists to glorify Christ by making mature disciples to reach the nations.

Our Mission & Vision

Glorifying Christ

Our driving motivation is the glory of Christ. The Bible describes a coming future when the glory of Christ will be fully seen and enjoyed, when those who are His from every nation on the earth will worship Him with gladness (Rev. 5:9-10; Rev. 15:2-4). We long to be a people consumed with a passion for the glory of Jesus above all things, that He would be first in our lives, and in our Church. We believe that Jesus is worthy of all of the praise of every heart in our neighborhood and around the world. (Colossians 1:15-23, Philippians 2:9-10) This truth fuels our desire to worship God with passion as a response to who He is and what He has done.

Reaching the Nations

We are driven by the glory of Christ to make disciples of every nation. At least six times, Jesus points out that the goal includes both local disciple-making, as well as global outreach, such that every nation would be represented in the Church. Our local disciple-making efforts are part of a larger global goal; namely, that Jesus would be praised by men and women of “every tribe and language and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9-10). The ultimate goal of the Church is to see that day become a reality.

Making Mature Disciples

We are charged by God and motivated by Christ’s glory to make disciples. (Mt. 28:18-20) This involves both leading people to faith in Christ, plus all of the work needed to bring believers to maturity in the faith. Jesus defines this process of making disciples as including: Gospel teaching and preaching, conversion to faith in Christ, and learning to “observe all that He has commanded.” The labor of the Church is to present all believers “mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28).
