What to Expect

Visiting a new church can be intimidating, so we’d like to give you a glimpse of what to expect if you join us for worship.

Our worship services are focused on praising Jesus and teaching the Bible in practical and understandable ways. Our kids also have the chance to learn about God’s love for them in a fun and caring environment within age-appropriate programs.

When you arrive, you will find a group of imperfect people who have been saved by the grace of a perfect Savior, Jesus. We come from different walks of life and various family backgrounds with one thing in common – we have been, and are being, changed by the Gospel of Jesus.

Our Mission & Vision

GLORIFYING CHRIST

Our driving motivation is the glory of Christ. The Bible describes a coming future when the glory of Christ will be fully seen and enjoyed, when those who are His from every nation on the earth will worship Him with gladness (Rev. 5:9-10; Rev. 15:2-4).

We long to be a people consumed with a passion for the glory of Jesus above all things, that He would be first in our lives, and in our Church. We believe that Jesus is worthy of all of the praise of every heart in our neighborhood and around the world. (Colossians 1:15-23, Philippians 2:9-10) This truth fuels our desire to worship God with passion as a response to who He is and what He has done.

MAKING MATURE DISCIPLES

We are charged by God and motivated by Christ’s glory to make disciples. (Mt. 28:18-20) This involves both leading people to faith in Christ, plus all of the work needed to bring believers to maturity in the faith. Jesus defines this process of making disciples as including: Gospel teaching and preaching, conversion to faith in Christ, and learning to “observe all that He has commanded.” The labor of the Church is to present all believers “mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28).

REACHING THE NATIONS

We are driven by the glory of Christ to make disciples of every nation. At least six times, Jesus points out that the goal includes both local disciple-making, as well as global outreach, such that every nation would be represented in the Church. Our local disciple-making efforts are part of a larger global goal; namely, that Jesus would be praised by men and women of “every tribe and language and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9-10). The ultimate goal of the Church is to see that day become a reality.

David Hinkle

David is a joyful, caring man who influences others toward Christ. His ministry starts in his home. Married since July 1997, he and Amy have the privilege of being parents to Caley and Blake. They enjoy time together around the dinner table and watching the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe show. He received his pastoral ministry training earning a Master of Theology (Th.M.), from Dallas Theological Seminary (2004) and served as a discipleship pastor in Topeka, KS, from 2004-2020.  His favorite passage, one that captures his calling in ministry, is Colossians 1:28-29 ESV, “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works in me.”  It is David’s joy and privilege to serve alongside a united Elder team, a fun and passionate staff team, and a loving church family.
